Decking Decking

Maintenance Free:
Maintenance Free

Maintenance free materials are those that have little or no maintenance. We carry 5 maintenance free products. One of which is composite decking boards. The boards are made to appear as wood, but are produced with wood along with virgin or recycled plastic to increase longevity. Our Duragrid tiles are excellent for waterproof decks, around pools, or to preserve on existing deck. Vinyl membranes are also maintenance free and are used to waterproof decks.

Composite:

Town and Country carries three different types of composite decking: Timber Tech, Trex, and Moisture Shield. All three are excellent products in the ever changing Alberta climate. They are all solid boards, and work just like wood. Composite materials can be installed with hidden fastener systems to look as though there are no screws in the deck! With no staining or painting and the 25 year warranties on these products, you will be left with peace of mind.

Cedar:
Cedar

If you like the look and smell of wood, then cedar is the material for you! Cedar can be oiled or stained to create a backyard masterpiece! The only downfall with cedar is that once you have stained or oiled the product, you must repeat the process every year or two.

Treated Wood:

The most traditional decking material is treated wood. Town and Country uses 2"x6" boards for our floors because we believe it is superior to 5/4" board. The 5/4" decking board is lower grade and has a tendency to split easily.

Duragrid Tiles:
Duragrid Tiles

If you are looking to take an older deck and make it "new" again without rebuilding everything, then this is the product for you! If your structural stability is fine, we can re-cover your existing deck to make it look new again. The tiles are 1/2" thick, interlocking, and can be easily cut to fit any shape. With an anti-slip surface, the self-draining Duragrid tiles are perfect for decks, around pools, hot tubs, and even garage floors. With 12 colours to choose from, you can mix and match to create your own custom pattern!

Vinyl Membrane:

Available in 45 and 60 mil thickness, this is a membrane that is applied to a plywood surface. Vinyl membranes are used to create a waterproof deck. Extra care is required to maintain the membrane, such as sweeping not shoveling the snow from the surface.
